Category C+E (Class 1)

This course is designed for experienced drivers who hold a current UK driving licence and wish to drive an articulated vehicle.

Route to gaining a Category C+E licence:

  • LGV Medical – Attend an LGV medical exam and have a D4 Medical form completed by your GP.
  • Licence Application – Complete D2 licence application and send to DVLA along with the above D4 medical form.
  • Theory Tests – Pass Hazard Perception and Multiple Choice theory tests.  Both theory tests can be booked by clicking here.
  • Practical Training – Complete intensive practical training with our DVSA registered instructor.
  • Practical Tests – Pass practical reverse and driving tests.

Course Objective:

The candidate will learn how to drive, manoeuvre, reverse and park an articulated vehicle in various situations. As well as, perform routine safety checks, maintenance and inspections.

Duration: 5-Days

Ratio of 2 trainees per instructor per articulated vehicle.

Practical driving test on final day of tuition.
