Driver Assessments

We can offer various driving assessments to both drivers and employers for LGV Category C1, C, C+E, Car and Light Commercial. All assessments are carried out by our DSA registered instructor.

Drivers must have a current driving licence with the correct entitlement to drive.

Course Objective: The driver will be expected to show ability to safely drive, manoeuvre, reverse and control a vehicle in many real situations. Drivers will be assessed in town, country and on major roads.

Duration: 1 Day
Ratio: Maximum 1 Trainee/Driver – per instructor per vehicle
Test: Assessment of overall control and ability. Certificate of competence  Written report

Pre-entry into work assessment

Employers who would like to assess potential new employees’ current driving ability can access assessment training. This training is delivered in one of our own training vehicles.

Post-accident remedial training

Any employees who have been involved in a recent road accident can be put through training by their employer to help regain confidence or to re-familiarise them with the vehicle.

Refresher training

Annual refresher training can be given, designed to keep candidates’ skills to a required level.

New vehicle familiarisation training

Training designed to help candidates become familiar with the all-round usage of a new vehicle.
